Frequently Asked Questions?

505 State Street

  • How is the All-Electric building different?

Serving as a model for green living, 505 State Street replaces all functions typically run by natural gas with electricity. All kitchens, for example, are equipped with induction cooktops and each unit has a heat-pump dryer. Base-building systems, like hot water heating and HVAC, are also entirely electric, eliminating carbon emissions from homes and across the building. Eliminating gas usage and building more efficient apartments improves air quality for residents, and helps reduce the effects of climate change.

  • When will the 505 State Street amenities be complete?

Amenities are expecting completion by this Spring/Summer 2024. The gym as well as other specific amenities will be available sooner and be publicly released to residents as they become available.

  • Will residents of the phase 2 future building share 505’s amenities?

There is currently no plan for these two buildings to share amenities.
